Early learning Services was incorporated in February 2007 and began with four Child Care Centres. Early Learning Services now owns and manages over 35 centres throughout Australia.

The team recognised the need for an alternate, high quality and affordable child care service in the Australian market. They also recognised that government regulations were driving single-centre operators out of the market and creating acquisition opportunities.

Early Learning Services listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX code: ELY) in December 2007, aiming to become one of the largest listed child care operators in Australia, owning and operating or managing centres nationally—while staying focused on the individual needs of each community. They currently provide child care and early learning development to more than three thousand children each day.

Focused on developing and operating successful child care centres, Early Learning Services conducts a range of child care service activities, including:
