Clean hands and big hearts: How Early Learning Services is handling COVID-19

Early Learning Services Leading Childcare

In this time of uncertainty and change, the health and safety of Early Learning Services families and team members remains our highest priority.

We understand that information, kindness and support are currently essential in keeping all children, families and teams feeling reassured. Below, you’ll find a number of resources to help at this time.

Enrolling now across centres

On June 8, 2020, the Education Minister announced the return to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), with payments re-commencing as of July 13, 2020.

This announcement means that we are now able to welcome more bookings at our centres to cater to your full requirements. We are now open for new families and looking forward to welcoming back all families to re-establish those close connections.

However, we understand that the COVID-19 situation has resulted in a challenging economic climate for our country. As we all work to navigate our way through the new normal, we know some families may require assistance regarding understanding the options available to them.

Our ultimate purpose is to ensure all our families have all the tools and information at their disposal to feel confident in their children’s continued journey in early childhood education.

Families are encouraged to contact their Centre Manager with help regarding the easing of the activity test, the Additional Child Care Subsidy, our Flexible Hours program and more to determine how to make the subsidy work best for them.

How will my child be protected in their centre?

Early Learning Services COVID Update

All Early Learning Services centres are using Zoono Hand Sanitiser and Zoono Microbe Shield to provide the highest level of protection for children while also protecting their skin.

Dermatologically tested and ultra-gentle, with no harmful chemicals, Zoono products last all day on skin and up to 28 days on surfaces while fighting bacteria and fungi. Zoono Hand Sanitiser also keeps killing 99.9% of germs for up to 24 hours, even after normal activity and hand washing.

Test results show that Zoono’s Z-71 Microbe Shield (the same Zoono technology used in Zoono Hand Sanitiser) is > 99.99% effective against feline coronavirus (the recognised surrogate for COVID-19). Click here to find out more about Zoono.

Many other initiatives have also been introduced, including Visitor Entry Guidelines, daily updates to our support teams, suspension of face-to-face training, more vigorous cleaning routines and separating cohorts of children where possible, to name a few.

G8 Education is consistently monitoring the advice from state and federal authorities and follows the all required and preventative measures stipulated to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
