See how we’re inspiring learning for life at Grasshoppers Early Learning Centre Nippers (Redland Bay). Our long daycare and early education centre provides child care in Redland Bay that is perfect for families living or commuting through nearby suburbs Mount Cotton, Russell Island, Thornlands, and Victoria Point.
Our child care centre Nippers specialises in care for children from birth to 2.5 years. To visit our other centre Hoppers for children from 2.5 to 6 years, please click here.
From the moment you walk through the doors of our Redland Bay child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our spacious outdoor environments feature sandpits, natural gardens, vegetable gardens, and play equipment to engage all the senses.
We provide children the time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
You will never need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Healthy, freshly made meals are prepared daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
There are new experiences to enjoy every day at our Redland Bay child care centre. Your child will have access to engaging specialised programs, including yoga, Auslan, and Bush Kinder programs. For an additional fee your child can also participate in a sport, music and movement program. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Our educators and children venture out on excursions to our local Redland Bay community visiting the nearby library, parks and more. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. These visits happen throughout the year and include responsible pet ownership, Indigenous elder visits, animal encounters, emergency services visits and many more. Are you able to specify any other incursions or excursions your centre might do?
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Early Learning Services community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
