Reviews and Testimonials
See what some of our parents say about our centres:
“I have nothing but praise for this child care centre. My son has severe allergies to dairy and eggs so I was very hesitant to send him to day care. I went in to visit Grasshoppers and discuss my son attending and I immediately felt at ease after speaking with Director Julie. Every single concern I had was addressed and I wasn’t made to feel silly for having any of these concerns. On my son’s first day I was sent an email with photos providing me with details on how his day was going. The smile on my son’s face when I picked him up said everything I needed to know. He still asks every single day if he gets to go to Grasshoppers today. His teachers in the Kindy room are Melissa and Jess and they show so much care towards all of the children. The kids not only seem to have fun every day they learn a lot as well. It’s not a centre where kids are just left in a room to “play” all day. For anyone who has a child with an allergy do not hesitate in the slightest to send your child to Grasshoppers. It’s so nice to be able to leave my son for the day knowing that he will have a bright happy day with teachers that genuinely care.”
“I’ve had two children attend Grasshoppers, Redland Bay (Hoppers) – one current and one who has gone on to school, and the center has fantastic, genuine, caring teachers, it’s like you are joining one big family. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to have my children attend here, they have amazing facilities, programmes, family participation with events, eg. Mothers day morning tea, Christmas party, grandparents day – the list goes on. Not only that, but the education in which they receive is amazing, outstanding – truly a A+ kindy, I wouldn’t go anywhere else and would highly recommend.”
“I was at a park with my son and there was a group of children from your centre enjoying the park and it’s facilities. I was so impressed by your educators dedication to providing quality care and ensuring all the children were having a great time and felt included. In particular a lady the children called Miss Rachel. She was present and provided the children with encouragement and instilled confidence in them. I was looking into care for my toddler at the time and was apprehensive about the process. Observing these carers going about their normal work day put my mind at ease.”
“Grasshoppers is a welcoming, friendly and fun centre. Both my boys who attended (one still currently attends) have thrived in the supportive and caring atmosphere. I have found the staff to be nurturing with my children and responsive to their individual needs. There is a real feeling of team support and connectedness between all staff members at the centre. I believe these positive strong relationships have strongly contributed to the excellent quality of care offered to my children – and have assisted to help my children feel safe, happy and secure. My children enjoy the many varied stimulating activities and opportunities offered to them – which has assisted in their growth and development. I also have observed changes in my son’s behaviour– particularly in relation to social behaviours ie: learning to share etc. Grasshoppers are initiative, excellent at engaging and connecting with parents, and communicate in varied ways (using email, hub and in person etc) to keep you updated on your child’s day which is appreciated. I would definitely recommend this Centre! “
“My little girl has been going to this centre for 13 months now. The centre itself is very clean and has lots of space for different activities and a big space for outside play. The staff are fantastic – they take a great deal of time to get to know your child and their personality. They keep you well updated with any sicknesses throughout the centre and give advice to ensure it doesn’t spread further. I would definitely recommend this centre.”
“I have had 2 children attend this centre, my eldest is now at school and is achieving incredibly good grades and this was contributed by the early learning program offered at this centre. My youngest is now in the pre-prep room and their program continues to improve and evolve that both challenges and keeps my son interested. The teachers at this centre are absolutely wonderful people and the love and care they give to the children is beautiful. I highly recommend this centre and we personally drive past 2 other centres as this one is more than worth the extra travel.”
“Grasshoppers has been part of our family for 4 years now and sadly our time together has come to an end as our last boy is starting prep next year. Both our kids enjoyed every day they spend at the centre. They loved their teachers and enjoyed all the wonderful activities they provided. It is such a happy, loving environment and I am so grateful for all the effort they put in to guide our boys in their early learning. Thank you Grasshoppers for an amazing 4 years.”
“Our family love the Grasshoppers family, I have a daughter in kindy there and my son who has a disability used to go there for pre prep. They have always been amazing and all the staff are always happy for a chat and also keep us up to date. My little girl loves the extra activities and loves the food. We have seen a huge change in our daughter, she has made many friends here which she never did anywhere else. When she first started she was very much behind, now she is finally getting there. We are truly blessed to be apart of the Grasshoppers family.”
“Our children attend Grasshoppers, when we first considered putting our two oldest children in child care one day a week we were very anxious about it. It didn’t take long for us to feel very comfortable leaving our children in the safe hands of the staff at Grasshoppers. The staff are all exceptional, they take the time to get to know children individually and are commited to providing learning opportunities and lots of fun activities for the kids, we have seen our kids grow and develop in ways that are thanks to their teachers. Our kids absolutely love going to grasshoppers and we so appreciate knowing our kids are being taken care of by people who really care about them.”
“I can’t praise the centre enough for their dedication. The staff are always striving to provide a fun, exciting, safe and educational place for the children. The centers facilities are top class with great meal options, a bus service and they are always doing exciting things throughout the year including the families. They make childcare hassle free and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to look after my children.”
“After working 10 days straight, then heading to pick up my daughters, the last thing I felt like doing was cooking dinner. When I arrived to Grasshoppers, Miss Julie sent us home with a beautiful loaf of hot wholemeal bread that she had just baked fresh. To say I am grateful is an understatement, hank you for everything that you do for all of the children and their families.”
“As a full time staff member, I find Grasshoppers to be a really family friendly orientated centre where I feel my child is safe and well cared for during the day. The minute that you walk through the door in the morning and then when you leave at night you are always greeted with a big hello and goodbye from the very friendly director Julie. The staff are very informative about your child’s day and are very happy to help you with any enquiries that you have about your child. I love the effort that the staff go to in celebrating various events such as grandparents morning tea, mother’s day stall etc. My child loves the extra curriculum that he can choose from eg. physi kids, soccer, happy feet. The centre does lots of fund raising for various causes which help the community. Grasshoppers communicate with you in various forms such as email, kindyhub, face to face. I recommended a family that is now with our centre and i would highly recommend many more families. As a parent I love that fact that the staff are the same and there isn’t a high turn over and this makes me feel comfortable that the staff are well appreciated by the director. When it is time to go home it takes me 10 minutes longer to leave as my son has to go around and say good bye to every staff member and give them a cuddle (this just shows the bond that the staff make with each and every child).”
