See how we’re inspiring learning for life at Mount Sheridan Early Education Centre (Bentley Park). Our long day care and early learning centre provides child care in Bentley Park that is perfect for families living or commuting through Bentley Park or nearby suburbs Edmonton, Gordonvale, Mount Sheridan, White Rock and Woree.
We have a unique community feel at our child care centre where all families are made welcome by our educators who aim to build strong relationships with each family.
From the moment you walk through the doors of our Bentley Park child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to learn and explore. Our spacious outdoor environments feature sandpits, gardens, and play equipment to engage all the senses. Children are provided with time and space for uninterrupted play to explore the outdoors testing their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
Morning and afternoon tea is prepared daily by our team, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
Our Bentley Park child care centre offers a different learning adventure every day. Your child will have access to engaging specialised programs, including yoga and a music and movement program. For an extra fee there is the option for older children to participate in swimming lessons. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Children and educators explore our local community for excursions visiting the nearby aged care centre, community garden and primary school. Our centre bus is used to go on excursions in the community building relationships and giving the children an opportunity to explore their surrounding as an educational experience.
We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. These include visits from the local hairdresser, responsible pet ownership, emergency services and more. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Early Learning Services community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
