Our early learning and long day care centre offers child care in East Lismore in a homely setting that is perfect for families living or commuting through East Lismore or nearby suburbs Goonellabah, Lismore, Lismore Heights and Caniaba. We are conveniently located on Military Road close to the Southern Cross University Lismore Campus.
When visiting our centre, you will be absorbed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our adventure-filled playgrounds include a sandpit, slide and vegetable garden. Children enjoy uninterrupted time and space to discover the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Our centre has long term educators who are committed to providing a high quality early educational program for your child. Our centre provides large natural outdoor spaces for the children to explore and learn in and there are plenty of opportunities for children to develop meaningful relationships with other children and educators.
When the children come inside, our indoor spaces invite adventure and discovery with quality resources and learning experiences. Children explore, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a wide range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of skilled educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as scientists, artists, architects, storytellers and designers.
We provide healthy, freshly made meals and snacks created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Opportunities to educate children on healthy eating practices are displayed as educators encourage children to assist in selecting edible plants from our vegetable garden which are used in many of our meals. Communal mealtimes between children and educators grow relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
A strong community focused program where throughout the year, educators and children venture out on excursions to our local community visiting Friends of the Koala (Koala rehabilitation centre) and the nearby waste and recycling centre. The educators and children also take part in the yearly Lantern Parade, working alongside the local feeder schools including Wyrallah Road and St. Carthages. We regularly present educational children’s shows and welcome special guests to the centre to extend on the children’s learning including STEPS vision screening. Community connections support a sense of belonging for children and offer opportunities to develop social and observational skills with a various people, places, and environments.
