Centre Manager - Early Learning Services West Ryde
“I believe providing children with an environment that fosters creativity, imagination, and confidence allows children to build a strong sense of belonging. ”
My early learning journey began in 2015. I joined West Ryde Early Learning Services in 2016. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and currently studying my bachelor's in education (Early Childhood). I am trained in Child Protection, First Aid and CPR.
I am passionate about children's learning. I believe providing children with an environment that fosters creativity, imagination, and confidence allows children to build a strong sense of belonging. I aim to inspire colleagues and educators and build confidence in their everyday practice.
Here at West Ryde Early Learning centre, children are provided with many opportunities to develop curiosity, confidence, problem-solving and resilience. We carefully plan play-based learning programs around the children's interests and learning goals. Over time, you will see your child develop many abilities, including language, motor movement, memory, concentration and social relationships, all by partaking in experiences.
The best part of my job is our team – they are dedicated to their role as educators. The whole team sees their role as incredibly important, providing children opportunities to all children and establishing the building blocks for successful learning. We're fortunate to have educators who speak a variety of languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese and Hindi, to name just a few. The centre really is an extension of the home environment, and we work in partnership with families to ensure this, understanding each child's individual needs.
I spend time in the rooms during morning drop-off times, which allows me to build positive relationships with both the children and families. I always make sure to say good morning and have a conversation when sitting in my office. My office is always open. Here at West Ryde ELS, we often offer parents on-the-go snacks and coffee during morning drop-off to save them time, and we regularly hold celebrations to bring our families together as a local community.
