Peppercorn Early Learning Centre

Our early learning and long day care centre offers child care in Kew in a modern setting that is perfect for families living or commuting through Kew or nearby suburbs Kew East, Balwyn, Deepdene, Hawthorne and Clifton Hill. We are close to public transport and Kew junction shopping area with some lovely local cafes.

When visiting our centre, you will experience a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. Our adventure-filled playgrounds include a sandpit, slide, vegetable garden and a range of engaging play equipment for your child to explore with their friends. Children enjoy uninterrupted time and space to discover the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.

We have a wonderful, homely environment with multilingual educators in every room. We also have pet budgies and goldfish at the centre.

Our indoor environments encourage exploration in our innovative and engaging resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as scientists, artists, architects, storytellers and designers.

Our kitchen is at epicentre of everything we do. We provide nutritious meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. The children enjoy cooking experiences with our centre cook.

A rotating schedule of exciting, specialised programs including Mandarin classes, Kinder fitness, music and movement program which are accessible for your child. These fun and exciting programs enhance the daily program. We regularly present educational children’s shows and welcome special guests to the centre to extend on the children’s learning.

Throughout the year, educators and children venture out on excursions to our local library, community garden and a nearby aged care facility. We regularly present educational children’s shows and welcome special guests to the centre enabling our families to share precious moments with their children at the centre.

Our centre offers a sustainability program teaching children a sense of responsibility and connection to their world. Children learn about sustainability practices through our vegetable garden while harvesting food, weeding, watering, and nurturing the environment with the help of our centre cook.
