See how we’re inspiring learning for life at Zebra Early Learning Centre (Hahndorf). Our long day care and early education centre provides child care in Hahndorf that is perfect for families living or commuting through Hahndorf or nearby suburbs Aldgate, Balhannah, Bridgewater, Echunga, Meadows, Mount Barker, Nairne, and Woodside. Our centre is conveniently located next to St. Michael’s Lutheran College and backs on to Alec Johnston Park.
From the moment you step foot into our Hahndorf child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to discover and learn. Our spacious outdoor areas feature sandpits, gardens, slides, cubby houses and play equipment to engage all the senses. We are lucky to back onto Alec Johnston Park where children and educators also get to use this area to adventure, explore and build on community connections.
We ensure children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
There is no need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Healthy meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
Every day is a different learning journey at our Hahndorf child care centre. Our educators and children venture out on excursions to our local community visiting the nearby aged care centre, St. Michael’s Lutheran College, shops and nearby parks. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. Can you please list some of the visits you have from the community at your centre or provide further information on the excursions?
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Early Learning Services community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
