Morphett Vale Early Learning Centre

Morphett Vale Early Learning Centre is designed to be a home away from home that encourages every child’s exploration. Our resource-rich early learning environments have been carefully designed to immerse your child into a world of exploration, curiosity, and learning.  

Each learning space extends onto our beautiful outdoor environment, which encourages children to safely develop their strength, balance, and self-confidence through play. Each age group in our child care centre has access to a sandpit, a worm farm and a veggie garden. We have beautiful fruit trees in our outdoor spaces, and our preschool room has a fixed play forte. There is a verandah that goes around the centre's play spaces, providing endless opportunities to be outside even in different weather conditions.

We offer a range of open ended activities for children in all our indoor learning spaces, ensuring they are tailored to the children's individual interests and developmental needs. We have different spaces within the rooms where children can explore as well as have quiet times when required. Art and craft is accessible and available for all age groups. Our Pre-school room has a smart board to be able to investigate ideas and further their learning.

Our Nursery room has a pet fighter fish and our Pre-Kinder room has a pet stick insect. Your child will have the opportunity to observe, interact with and care for an animal. It's a valuable lesson on empathy, responsibility and nature.

A long standing team of passionate educators make up the heart of our Morphett Vale child care centre. We know each child has unique talents and interests. Our experienced educators are passionate about helping every child succeed in discovering their identity and become confident, happy, and resilient learners.

All educators in our child care centre know simple Auslan and are continuing to learn more to support children with their language, communication, and development. 

Play is essential to every child's learning and development. It enables children to make decisions, learn, take risks, and have fun. At our Morphett Vale child care centre, our experienced team plan play-based learning activities in line with national standards. The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) is designed to engage in your child’s interests and allow them to experience each day in a new way, supporting their learning in the lead-up to primary school.  

Our Early Learning Curriculum also provides children with:

• Real Life experiences: Children participate in fun and exciting experiences such as woodworking, harvesting the veggie garden, caring for our worm farm and basic cooking skills. 

• Sustainability program: Each age group participates in a sustainability project that help children embed sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of looking after and protecting our planet. At our Morphett Vale child care centre, we collect bread tags to donate for wheelchairs to be made. The lights in the centre are turned off between 12:00 and 14:00 during our quiet time to help save energy.

We provide children with nutrient-rich, fresh and seasonal foods created to please even the fussiest of eaters. For variety, our menu rotates every week, with our cook catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child.  

Here at Morphett Vale Early Learning Centre, we believe that by encouraging active participation in food preparation (such as growing & harvesting the fruit and vegetables, preparing, and helping cook the meal) - children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating.  

For added convenience, we also offer our families a grab-and-go breakfast snack and coffee.
