Welly Road Early Learning Centre
Quality resources for little explorers
At our purpose-built child care centre, each area is specifically designed with young learners in mind. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. We love incorporating the natural environment into our learning with each room having a raised garden bed. We also have a big community garden at the front of the centre for all our families to enjoy. Our adventure-filled outdoor playgrounds feature sandpits, gardens, cubby houses and play equipment to engage all the senses.
Our unique meals dining area provides a home-like environment for the children to enjoy meals prepared by our qualified chef; our menu is inclusive and we are able to alter all meals to be suitable for individual dietary requirements. Nappies, wipes, and sunscreen are also provided.
Dedicated team of educators
Our highly-trained team of educators are hand-picked to support the children and their learning. Our centre manager, Kristy Wheeler has worked with the Early Learning Services brand for over 14 years. The educators strive to make sure that the environment is safe, inviting, natural, stimulating and engaging, and that it reflects the children’s personalities and interests.
Our educators want to give children the best possible start on their early learning journey, which is why they focus on the children's social development, confidence and independence at a young age. They plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers. You will receive daily updates and photos detailing children’s learning and development on our parent App - Xplor.
Community-focused extracurricular activities
We have a lovely walking path that runs along the child care centre that allows us to explore our local community. Our educators and children venture out on excursions visiting the nearby parks allowing children to engage in nature, exploring the boardwalks, boat, and children’s garden. Our regular visits to IGA also provide opportunities to purchase ingredients for our cooking experiences, participate in taste testing and engage in numeracy and simple mathematical concepts.
We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. These include visits from residents at Sash Ferguson our local nursing home and students from St Marks. Our excursions to St Marks are a regular activity for the Kindergarten children.
