Grasshoppers Early Learning Centre - Hoppers
As soon as you walk through the doors of our Redland Bay child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our adventure-filled playgrounds feature sandpits, natural gardens, climbing forts, swing, vegetable gardens, bicycle track and play equipment to engage all the senses.
Children are provided the time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
Our Before School Care program has many activities that focus on fun and learning. With our Vacation Care program, your child will have endless amounts of fun with a mix of in-centre activities, indoor and outdoor play and visits to the community.
We have everything covered here at our Redland Bay child care centre, so you won’t need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Nutritious meals are made daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
Your child will have access to new experiences every day at our Redland Bay child care centre. Your child will have access to engaging specialised programs, including Bush Kindy program. For an additional fee your child can also participate in a sport, music and movement program. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Our educators and children venture out on excursions to our local Redland Bay community visiting the nearby library, aged care centre, Redland Bay State School, parks and more. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. These visits happen throughout the year and include responsible pet ownership, animal encounters, speech therapists, occupational therapists, dentists, emergency services visits and many more.
Our centre also celebrates regular cultural events reflecting the diversity in our local community including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, and more.
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Early Learning Services community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
