Hana Grant

Centre Manager - Manchester Road Early Learning Centre

“I look forward to developing a love of learning amongst all educators and children within the centre.”

My career in early childhood education and care commenced in 2010 and I started working at Manchester Road Early Learning Centre (Mooroolbark) in 2017. I hold a Certificate III and a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood & Primary).

Growing up with a large extended family, children have always been the heart of all family gatherings. I developed a love of what came second nature, and further developed this when I undertook my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood & Primary). While completing my Bachelor, I balanced casual work at an Early Learning facility and worked as a nanny for a family close by.

I am passionate about incorporating and developing community links and engagement within the curriculum and across the service. Creating a ‘sense of community’ is integral to the core themes of belonging and identity that runs at the services.

I look forward to developing a love of learning amongst all educators and children within the service. Not only will we try to encourage your child to think, question and challenge themselves, we will encourage them to become kind and understanding citizens with a sense of empathy for others.

The team at Manchester Road Early Learning Centre (Mooroolbark) have embedded health and safety practices within their daily actions and are the core consideration for everything that we do.

The team at Manchester Road are like family, they not only care deeply about one another, but they care greatly for the children and the families within our community. I believe that this is showcased throughout the team’s dedication, compassion, and daily interactions.

With many of our team having children of their own, we have all been or are going through the process of child care and early learning – we are proud to offer support where possible - from helping our families to choose a centre that’s the right fit, to enrolling, applying for the Child Care Subsidy or even tips to help with transitions and separation.

A fun fact about me is that I am determined to continue my netball career, not even a fracture ankle can get in the way!.
