Glen Gala Children's Centre
We do community walks throughout the year, sports program, Spanish lessons, yoga classes and Indian dancing throughout the week. We also celebrate special cultural days throughout the year from around the world, cooking experiences with the educators, in-centre events or celebrations, nearby public transport and we have many nearby schools.
From the moment you step foot into our Sunshine West child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to discover and learn. Our spacious outdoor areas feature sandpits, gardens, cubby houses and play equipment to engage all the senses.
Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
You will never need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Nutritious meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
Each day is a different learning journey at our Sunshine West child care centre. Your child will have access to engaging specialised programs, including language, yoga and a sport program. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Our educators and children venture out on excursions to our local community visiting the nearby schools and local parks. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. We do community walks throughout the year to a local playground where the children learn a variety of skills such as road safety, our yoga classes are held by one of our talented team members who has a love for yoga and the feeling It brings and our Indian dancing is also held by one of our educators who loved to dance, educate and share her culture with us all.
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
Our centre provides school aged care with an engaging Before and After School Care and Outside School Hours Care program. School aged children are provided experiences at our centre which extends on their learning from school in our environment.
