Meet the Centre Manager of Little Blossoms Child Care Centre
“I love meeting new families and building a trusting relationship with both them and their children.”
I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2007 and started working at Little Blossoms Child Care Centre in 2019. I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood. I have 11 years’ experience as a Kinder Teacher and then a 2IC.
As a child I always lagged never understanding the fundamentals of learning. It was at this time that I told myself that I would love to be in the education field helping and encouraging those who felt less worthy or are unable to understand something the first time around. I love meeting new families and building a trusting relationship with both them and their children. I love it when everyone feels a sense of belonging in our centre.
Children extend their knowledge when attending childcare. They build on routine, they develop literacy and numeracy skills, they develop emotional resilience, they enjoy a successful future, they develop a lifelong love of learning.
The centre is run by a dedicated team of educators who are passionate about their important roles within the centre and who are committed to providing a caring, educational and fun environment. Our team bring with them many years of experience offering a diverse learning experience. The educators offer a true sense of belonging at the centre along with their nurturing and caring outlook.
We promote children’s health by comforting and supporting their wellbeing. We help encourage confidence and self-growth. We believe all children have a right to safety and protection from harm.
We provide adequate supervision and effective management of incidents and emergencies are always paramount to support children’s safety and engagement in the educational program.
We have an open-door policy at our centre and parents are always welcome to call or to come if they have any concerns. We ensure that they are kept well informed of their child’s day. We always have mutual respect for them.
At our centre, we offer parents breakfast on the run and have a coffee machine in the parent’s room. We host Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and Grandparent’s day tea. We also celebrate religious festivities and welcome parents to join in.
Parents are always greeted when they enter our centre. We provide a new enrolment pack which consists of our 4 week menu, an all about me fact sheet that parents need to fill out, information on the enrolment process, our parent handbook, a detailed list of what to bring on your child’s first day and a profile list off all our teachers. Once the tour is over, parents are welcomed to fill in their CCS with our help along with their enrolment forms that is emailed to them and any other assistance needed to complete their enrolment.
I look forward to meeting you and your family and showing you around our centre!
