My career in early childhood education began in 1996, and I joined St Albans Main Road East Early Learning Centre in 2010. From a young age, I was passionate about interacting with children. This passion inspired me to pursue a career in early education and childcare. As the Centre Manager, I am dedicated and passionate about my role. I find it rewarding to build positive relationships with families, children, and my team.

Recognising that all children are unique with different needs, we strive to provide the best quality care. Our approach fosters a love of learning in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. We prioritise positive interactions and attentive listening to meet each child’s individual needs.

Our team is dedicated to creating a home away from home for our families and children. We celebrate diversity, with many educators speaking various languages. We build positive relationships with families to ensure everyone feels welcome at our centre. We adhere to policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all team members, children, and families.

We guide new families through the enrolment process, providing support and assistance. We ensure families understand the requirements, including the enrolment form, activity test, and necessary documentation such as birth certificates and immunisation summaries.

I’m passionate about creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for young children. Working with children has always been something I’ve felt deeply committed to. I believe in the power of early education to shape a child’s future, and I feel privileged to play a role in that journey. What inspires me most is the opportunity to truly listen to children—their thoughts, ideas, and perspectives—and use that understanding to build strong, respectful relationships.

I take a child-centred approach in my teaching, which means I follow the interests and strengths of each child to guide our learning together. This approach helps children feel valued and confident, and gives them a sense of ownership over their learning. I love seeing the spark of curiosity in their eyes and supporting them as they explore, create, and discover the world around them.

I look forward to working closely with you and your child throughout their kinder year. I’m excited about the milestones we’ll reach together as a class, and even more so about the individual growth each child will achieve. It’s going to be a joyful, rewarding journey.

I hold a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) with a specialisation in Inclusion from Deakin University, and I am passionate about supporting young children through these important early years of learning.

My teaching philosophy centres around the holistic development of each child. I believe the first step in a child’s learning journey is feeling a strong sense of belonging and connection—to the environment, the educators, and their peers. When children feel safe, supported, and valued, they are more open to exploring, learning, and growing.

In our classroom, we view the environment as the children’s first teacher. We intentionally design spaces that encourage curiosity, creativity, and self-discovery. Through play-based experiences and self-exploration, children begin to understand the world around them, build relationships, and develop confidence in their abilities.
