Centre Manager -  Early Learning Services Collaroy Plateau

I believe in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and grow.

I started my career in early education in 2015 and started working at Collaroy Plateau Early Learning Service in 2015.  I currently hold a diploma in early childhood education and care.

Early childhood education plays a critical role in shaping a child's foundation for learning and future success. I love working in early childhood education because I love to contribute to creating a strong educational foundation for children, as well as fostering a love for learning and lifelong curiosity. Throughout my career I have been an advocates for children's rights, ensuring their voices are heard, and their needs are met.

Through my years as an educator, I have learnt lots of things such as understanding the different stages of child development, including physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects. I recognise that each child is unique, with varying strengths, interests, learning styles, and needs. My approach to helping children on their learning journey and life journey is centred around providing support, guidance, and encouragement. I believe in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and grow. I aim to instil values such as empathy, resilience, responsibility, and critical thinking. I encourage children to be independent thinkers, problem solvers, and effective communicators.

Our team boasts extensive experience across all areas, ranging from 2 to 15 years. We all take great joy in witnessing the growth and progress of each child under our care. Our collective experience and genuine passion for nurturing children make us well-equipped to provide a supportive and enriching environment for their learning journey.

In order to build good relationships with families, I share regular updates on their child's progress, activities, and any concerns. I encourage families to share their thoughts, questions, and concerns as well. We collaborate with families to set goals for their child's development and education, and work together to achieve them. We organize family events, workshops, and parent-teacher conferences to provide opportunities for families to connect with each other and with educators.

We look forward to welcoming your family into our community.
