Deakin Early Education Centre is open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday providing education and care for children aged six weeks to six years through a range of interest based learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
These include a range of educational programs, a high quality universal preschool program catered for children in their eligible year and exciting extra-curricular activities including a 10 week swim program, Cantonese language lessons, a physical education program and a music program which are all specifically designed to promote all areas of a child’s development.
Healthy and nutritious meals are prepared daily by an in-house qualified cook for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The service has a four week rotating menu and caters for cultural and dietary requirements. Nappies and bed linen are also provided.
The centre is proud to have qualified, caring and professional early childhood educators who closely liaise with our families to build trusting respectful relationships with the children whilst providing them with activities that will build and foster each of their individual qualities and developmental needs. Each child receives a personal development portfolio as a record of their achievements.
We are also a SunSmart Service!

Reviews and Testimonials
“Our daughter has been attending Deakin Early Education Centre for three years and we could not be happier. She is excited to attend each day, has bonded with all the teachers and made some great friends. We have enrolled our second child also and she will be starting in the next few weeks. The staff are wonderful and the facilities are great. It is a very caring, family environment and she has learnt so much from her experiences here.”
“Deakin Early Education Centre is a centre of excellence. We moved our 3 children here from another centre and were amazed by how friendly all the staff were and how quickly our children settled in. There were no longer morning tantrums about going to daycare and our kids were no longer bored – they were in a structured & secure environment that promoted their individuality and encouraged learning. We are thrilled to be given places at this “school.”
“My twins attend the Deakin ELC three days a week. We have found the staff at Deakin ELC to be – very accommodating to my twins’ needs; open to feedback; quick to implement any required changes to meet their needs; and very involved in the level of care my children receive. My children settled in quickly to the centre and continue to enjoy their time at “school”.”
“My daughter has been attending Deakin Early Education Centre for approximatley 2 years. I could not be happier with the centre which often exceeds any expectations I have of a child care centre. It has a friendly homely feel, yet offers a very well structured educational and development program. I have been overly impressed with the quality of staff who care for and show a genuine interest in my daughter. There are always plenty of relief staff and carers know about and show an interest in children even outside of their immediate rooms. I get good feedback from my room leader each day/ week. The educational program is very good and the staff make a lot of effort to incorporate educational and learning activities throughout the day and to build on the childrens’ interests. The centre is clean and provides nappies. There is a good range of food offered by the in-house cook that my daughter also loves!”
“My son Oskar (2 years old) has been attending Deakin Early Education Centre for about 6 months now. I am extremely happy with the care provided by the Center. Oskar is quite happy there as well, he tells me on the way home ‘Mummy, school fun’ 🙂 The Centre staff are professional and very friendly. I am always impressed with the tidy and clean rooms, the activities that they do and how well Oskar has been looked after. The meals at the centre are great. Oskar loves it and he will often have 1 or 2 extra servings! Thank you Deakin Early Education Centre for a fantastic service and for looking after my boy so well.”
“We would highly recommend Deakin Early Education Centre. There is great staff consistency which reflects the wonderful atmosphere at the centre. Staff are caring and engaged, and provide a wonderful range of structured activities and free play. The centre is well run and provides a professional service whilst maintaining a personal and caring attitude towards the children. We are very happy with the centre.”

“After not being 100% happy with the care our daughter was receiving at her daycare we decided to look around.
A couple of friends had given us rave reviews about Deakin ELC so we decided to give them a call.
Kylie took the time to show us around the whole Centre and meet the carers. We were immediately impressed. From Kelly the wonderful chef to every single carer, and Kylie herself, we had no doubts that this was the Centre for us. The carers are warm, friendly, compassionate and it’s obvious they’re passionate about their work. The facilities are clean, interactive, modern and resources are everchanging. I was especially impressed by the huge outdoor play area.
Our daughter loves going there! Thank you to Kylie and her wonderful team.”
