Inspiring learning for life at Collaroy Plateau Early Learning Centre. Our early learning and long day child care centre is perfect for families living or commuting through Collaroy Plateau or nearby suburbs Cromer, Collaroy, and Wheeler Heights.
From the moment you enter our homely child care centre, you will experience a haven where children are encouraged to discover, learn and grow. Our adventure-filled playgrounds include an all-weather play area, sandpits, cubby house and other engaging equipment that encourages the children to explore the outdoor areas to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Being a smaller centre, our staff is a tight-knit team, and we have the opportunity to form close relationships with families and have more time for one on one interactions with each child.
Our indoor spaces encourage exploration and discovery with engaging resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.
We provide healthy, freshly made meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Opportunities to educate children on healthy eating practices are displayed at our centre as educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Let us treat you to coffee and a snack as part of your morning routine.
Offering engaging specialised programs including dance and sports classes on a regular basis for your child enhancing the daily program.
Our educators and children explore our local community with excursions to nearby locations including the aged care facility down the road which we have close connections with and the local primary school to extend on the children’s learning. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
We regularly present educational children’s shows and welcome special guests from the community to the centre to educate the children on the importance of friendships and the different cultures of the world. We have visits from a dentist who discusses the importance of teeth hygiene as well as an eye specialist who checks the eyes of the children aged 4 to 5 each year. We also offer courses for parents regarding guiding children behaviour, school readiness and more.
