Centre Manager - Sydney Cove Children's Centres Early Learning Services (East and West)

“I believe that the foundation of learning and interacting that a child receives at a young age greatly impacts their behaviour and learning in the future.”

I began my career at G8 Education in early childhood education in 2009 and started working at Sydney Cove Children’s Centres (East and West) end of year 2021. I hold Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching (Birth to Five Years). I worked as educator, room leader and educational leader and centre director as my career progressed.

Early Childhood Education has always been in interesting and important field of work and study in my life. I believe that the foundation of learning and interacting that a child receives at a young age greatly impacts their behaviour and learning in the future.

I believe that children are capable and passionate learners as inspired from the Reggio Emilia approach called the “100 languages of children”, which recognizes that children have multiple ways of thinking, playing, exploring, speaking, and doing.

I recognize that families are children’s first and most influential teachers and encourage the families to participate in curriculum decision making to ensure the learning experiences are meaningful.
I endeavor to build a culture of sustainability in early childhood settings, which help children and educators to develop a sense of respect and caring for the natural environment.

I am privileged to be part of the Sydney Cove team; all families are all kind and supportive, all educators  work hard and develop their passion to support children’s learning like a family. I’m so proud of working  in this multicultural society, we speak a variety of languages and respect for cultural diversity.
