Inspiring learning for life at Redman House Early Learning Centre 2. Our early learning and long day care centre offers child care for children aged 4-5 years in Dee Why in a homely setting that is perfect for families living or commuting through Dee Why or nearby suburbs Beacon Hill and Narraweena.
If you require early education and care for younger children, please visit our sister centre: Redman House Early Learning Centre 1 located right next door. When stepping into our centre, you will be immersed in a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow.
Our natural outdoor area includes a sandpit, vegetable gardens and other exciting play equipment to engage all the senses. Children enjoy uninterrupted time and space to discover the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Our bachelor qualified teacher thoroughly prepares the preschool children for school, using ‘learning through play’ methods. With a strong focus on literacy and numeracy alongside science, technology and coding, children play as they learn. During the day we maintain the perfect childhood balance, giving children large blocks of time to play outdoors, work in our garden beds or care for our centre guinea pigs as part of our sustainability program.
When it’s time to come inside our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children discover, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of qualified educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists,
and designers.
A rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs including yoga and dance are accessible to your child which are fun and exciting activities that enhance the daily program.
Our educators and children explore our local community with excursions to the nearby Dee Why Public School, library, fire station, police station and shops. We also offer a traditional program that is focused on our local community. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
